DESCRIPTION

Extension of the 6th Pier in Thessaloniki Port Container Terminal by extending the existing quaywall No 26 to accommodate vessels type SUPER JUMBO & POST-PANAMAX.

Construction of 500m quaywall at foundation depth of -15,00m, made of CAISSONS with dimensions (28*11*17 m).

Dredging works for soil improvement by replacement, 1.000.000m³ at depths of -15,00, -18,00 and -22,00m.

Works for the improvement of the soil characteristics, including the installation of 265.000lm vertical filter drains and the construction of 42.000lm gravel piles.

Reclamation works: 950.000m³.

Construction of CAISSON’s foundation with quarry run and sand gravel materials 430,00m³.

Reinforced concrete works, including the construction of CAISSONS: 40.000m³.
